Since we discontinued manufacture of the SL 9000 J Series console in 2002, a significant number of key components used to support the SL 9000 J Series console have been made obsolete by our suppliers. This has impacted our ability to offer a comprehensive support service. Due to the escalation in component obsolescence we are providing notice on the product’s End Of Support Life (EOSL) date.
Since it is not possible to exactly project when our supplies will be exhausted, we are currently estimating that consoles covered by SSL’s Standard or Basic cover will continue to be supported until the 31st December 2012. In the spring of 2012 we will update this notice to advise whether this date is final.
Annual support contract renewals will continue to be available until the 1st January 2012. After the 1st January 2012, support contract renewals will be prorated to end on the 31st December 2012.
